IRON MAIDEN THE TROOPER

As the second single from Iron Maiden's fourth studio album, Piece Of Mind, "The Trooper" was made available in June 1983. In the UK Singles Charts, the song peaked at number twelve. It was similarly successful in the US, reaching a peak of No. 28 on the Mainstream Rock charts and receiving significantly more favorable reviews than the group's prior single, "Flight of Icarus." Nicko McBrain, the band's new drummer since 1982 when Clive Burr was removed, made his debut on this album. Since its debut, the song has received a lot of praise; AllMusic calls it "an all-time genre classic." A 500-piece jigsaw puzzle with the single's classic cover art is now accessible. It is printed on a premium board.
